How does the image cropper work?
The cropper uses your browser's built-in Canvas API and Cropper.js for interactive crop selection. Everything is processed entirely on your device — no data is sent to any server.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your images never leave your device. This makes the tool completely private and works even offline once the page is loaded.
What aspect ratio presets are available?
We offer Free (no constraint), Square (1:1), 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16 (portrait), Circle (for profile pictures), Passport 2×2 inch, Passport 35×45mm, and Custom pixel dimensions. Each image can have a different preset.
How does circle crop work?
Circle crop uses a 1:1 aspect ratio with a circular mask. The cropped image is exported as a PNG file with a transparent background, so the area outside the circle is transparent. This is perfect for profile pictures.
Can I crop multiple images at once?
Yes! Upload up to 10 images and adjust the crop on each one individually. You can set a different aspect ratio for each image. When you're ready, click "Crop All" to process them all and download as a ZIP file.
What are the passport photo sizes?
We support two standard passport photo sizes: 2×2 inches (600×600 pixels at 300 DPI) used in the US, and 35×45mm (413×531 pixels at 300 DPI) used in most European countries and many others. The crop tool ensures your photo meets the exact pixel dimensions.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF images. Cropped images are exported as JPEG (for regular crops) or PNG (for circle crops with transparent backgrounds).
Is there a file size or resolution limit?
Since all processing happens in your browser, there's no upload limit. However, very large images (over 50MP) may be slow to process depending on your device's memory and processing power.
